Singer and actress Ashanti released her new fragrance, Precious Jewel, this week. The singer told MTV.com, "This project was very precious to me. I wanted everything to be perfect! I must've driven the fragrance developers nuts by making sure everything was exactly how I envisioned."

Ashanti is also the spokesperson for MUDD Jeans new line, Delicious Curves, which hits stores in November. The line was developed for women with "real bodies."

The singer hasn't abandoned her roots and will release a remix album in December with a new studio album to follow next year.

In addition, Ashanti, who was one of the stars of the movie, Coach Carter, just completed work on a new movie. The romantic comedy, John Tucker Must Die, is slated to hit theaters next year.
