System Of A Down bassist Shavo Odadjian is finally ready to release UrSession, his site for musicians. The beta version of the site will launch today, January 31, along with three components; urAudition, urBand, and urCommunity. The site created with Sway and King Tech of "The Wake Up Show" radio program, will allow musicians to audition for the world and accept feedback. It will also allow musicians to find a visual and audio representation of other musicians so they can complete their own projects.

Shavo talked about his goals for the launch of UrSession.

"No goals. We're going to do it. We're going to launch it and see what happens. This didn't come out as a business thing, this came out as an artist finder, and it just blew up with the ideas and stuff. I feel like we're going to make a dent in the music industry, and I hope others follow and more righteous stuff comes out -- instead of regurgitated music like what's happening in the world right now of the dead music industry."

Shavo sees UrSession not only as a place for musicians, but a place for record labels and other entities who want to support musicians to find great new talent. Shavo says he’ll occasionally have other musicians on UrSession to critique and give advice to bands.
