Kasabian has been working harder than your average U.K. band in the United States, but the band hasn't taken any flak for the origin of their name. The band is partially named after Linda Kasabian the getaway driver for serial killer Charles Manson.
The band's Sergio Pizzorno was asked if they've gotten any negative comments about the origin of their name and the link to the notorious killer.
"No, not in any way because it was done as... we like the name, simple as that. It was never to shock anyone or whatever, it was just, let's name ourselves that. It's also quite funny."

Kasabian also wanted to put a disclaimer out that they are not condoning Manson in any way and call him and his acts disgusting.
The band is putting in time not only playing headline shows, but also doing their share of festival appearances in the States. Last weekend the band played Lollapalooza and this weekend the band is scheduled for the San Diego Street Scene.
