AT 83 YEARS OLD BB KING IS TRADITIONAL
BB KING SPOILED WITH GRAMMY NOMMINATION FOR ONE KIND FAVOR

Legendary guitarist B.B. King was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Traditional Blues Album for "One Kind Favor" which was King's 24th studio album of his career. "One Kind Favor" shows King along with his guitar Lucille running through blues numbers written by some of the masters like John Lee Hooker, Blind Lemon Jefferson, T Bone Walker and Big Bill Broozny to name just a few. For the album, King brought together Dr. John on keys, bassist Nathan East and Jim Keltner on drums and it was produced by T Bone Burnett.

We caught up with B.B. King at The 51st Annual Grammy Nominations to get his thoughts on being nominated in the category for Best Traditional Blues Album.

"I just found out a moment ago that I was nominated for Best Traditional Blues and I guess at eighty three I'm traditional."

B.B. King also talked about how special a Grammy Nomination feels to him.

"Oh, I love it.  I love it.  I feel special sometimes.  Tonight I feel special to see you young people around.  Nothing but young people.  Makes me kind of happy.  I'm glad to be alive.  I'm glad to even be here and to hear people talk about me today I tell you it spoils me.  You feel special."

For Best Traditional Blues Album, B.B. King will be going up against "The Blues Rolls On" by Elvin Bishop, "Skin Deep" by Buddy Guy, John Lee Hooker Jr's "All Odds Against Me" and Pinetop Perkins & Friends's latest album "Pinetop Perkins & Friends."  The 51st Annual Grammy Awards will be aired live on CBS on Feb 8th at 8pm.
