UP TO CANCER WITH HELP FROM DIVAS
NATASHA BEDINGFIELD ON RECORDING WITH THE DIVAS

Bringing together 15 Divas to record a single is never an easy task, but when the cause was to raise money for accelerating ground-breaking cancer research, no one could keep the star studded list away. The single, 'Just Stand Up' brings together to vocal talents of Beyonce, Mariah Carey, Miley Cyrus, Carrie Underwood and LeAnn Rimes, British newcomer Leona Lewis, Sheryl Crow, Mary J. Blige, Melissa Etheridge, Natasha Bedingfield, Keyshia Cole, Rihanna, Fergie, Ciara and Ashanti. This unprecedented charity single is currently available on iTunes for a $1 donation and it's already in the iTunes Top 10 downloads.

We caught up with Natasha Bedingfield to get her thoughts on why should couldn't say no to being a part of such a great cause.

"Well I was just recently involved in this charity single 'Stand Up For Cancer" with all the other divas.  You know Mariah Carey, Beyonce, Rhianna and so many of the others and it's on iTunes Top 10 right now.  That single is all about helping people with cancer.  I had someone in my family have cancer, my grandma and she died of cancer and when something like that happens to you, you just want to find a way to help.  It was great to be able to sing with all the other girls for a good cause."

So what was Natasha's thoughts on being a part of a recording with so many Divas?

"I was wondering how it would be with so many solo acts all on one stage together.  These are women that I admire and look up to.  You always hear about these stories about throwing diva tantrums and stuff.  I don't know I was really impressed.  People were really cool because I think it was about something greater than themselves.  It was pretty fun."

It was recently announced that Natasha is set to marry American businessman Matthew Robinson.  Although the pair haven't set a date yet, the couple have been dating for 2 years.  Natasha Bedingfield is currently gearing up to start the New Kids on the Block reunion tour.  The tour kicks off September 19th in Toronto, Canada and extends until November 26th in Los Angeles, California.
