Multi platinum selling rock band, Warrant, will be hitting the road in 2008 with the bands most successful lineup, consisting of vocalist Jani Lane, guitarists Joey Allen and Erik Turner, bassist Jerry Dixon and drummer Steven Sweet.  Warrant, best known for their 1989 album "Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinking Rich" and 1990's "Cherry Pie" both of which went double platinum, will kick off their tour at Rocklahoma and hit the road with Cinderella immediately following the festival.  Rocklahoma, which takes place in Pryor, Oklahoma on July 10-13th, is the world's largest 80's Rock festival and besides Warrant, rock fans will have a chance to see LA Guns, Night Ranger, XYZ, Bret Michaels, Triumph, Kingdom Come and Tesla, among many others.

We caught up with Steven Sweet and Joey Allen to get their thoughts on performing with lead vocalist Jani Lane once again.

"(Allen) Steven..." "(Sweet) It's freaking bizarre." "(Allen) It's like a time warp." "(Sweet) It brings back a lot of memories obviously.  Joey and I have been back in the band for the last three years without Jani, so it's like a new old thing again." "(Allen) Absolutely, we're very excited.  It's going to sound great.  It's going to look great and we're ready to bring it.  So, come on out."

Although the band does have plans of releasing a live DVD from the upcoming tour,  do they have plans of getting back into the studio together to write new material?

"Not immediately, but we're already working on new ideas and probably by the end of the year, once things slow down with travel, that we'll get back in and start putting some things down.  That's the plan."

Throughout the past 20 years and 8 albums, Warrant have endured death, record label turnover, the loss of band members and close friends, but these hardships have only added to their legacy and strengthened the band along the way.  Warrant has plans on performing an intimate Sunset Strip club date in Hollywood, California for their fans although no date has been announced as of press time.
